Mayo Clinic is looking for a Specialist HIMS Supplemental to work remotely. In this role, you will help keep the Health Information Management (HIM) department running smoothly. You will work with health information systems, make sure everything follows the rules, and help patients and healthcare workers.

Job Responsibilities
As a Specialist HIMS Supplemental, your job will include:

Qualifications
To do well in the Specialist HIMS Supplemental job, you need the following:
- Education: You must have an Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field (such as health sciences or health information technology). If you are close to finishing your degree, you can still apply, but you must complete it within six months of starting the job.
- Certifications: Having a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification is helpful, but not required.
- Skills:
- You need to be able to speak and write clearly.
- You should know how to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- You need to type well and be comfortable using a computer.
- You must be able to focus on your work even when things are moving fast.
- You should understand how medical records are organized and how they should be kept safe.
- Experience: It’s helpful if you have worked in a healthcare setting before, but it’s not required. What’s most important is that you can work well with others, have good communication skills, and stay calm in busy situations.
