Job Description
Spring Health is looking for a kind and caring Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Care Advocate to join our team. This is a full-time, remote job, where you’ll help people who are struggling with substance use problems. You will work with clients to explain their treatment options and provide support as they work toward recovery. - 12pm-8pm ET | 11am-7pm CT | 9am-5pm PT
- 1pm to 9pm ET | 12pm-8pm CT | 10am-6pm PT

What You Will Be Doing
As a SUD Care Advocate, you will do many important things to help people who are struggling with addiction. Here are some of your main tasks:
- Reach Out to Clients: You will contact people who need help with substance use problems, explain how we can help them, and start a conversation to make them feel comfortable.
- Assess Clients’ Needs: You will ask questions to understand what the client needs and explain the different treatment options available.
- Schedule Appointments: You will help clients schedule their appointments and make sure they get the care they need.
- Motivational Interviewing: You will use special techniques, called motivational interviewing, to help clients set goals for their recovery and keep them on track.
- Crisis Support: If a client is in crisis, you will provide immediate help and make sure they are safe. You will also know when to ask for help from other team members.
- Record Keeping: You will keep track of each client’s information in a system to make sure everything is up to date.
- Solve Problems: You will look for any issues that might stop clients from getting care, and work with the team to fix those problems.
- Work with the Team: You will attend meetings, share ideas, and learn from others to improve the team’s knowledge and skills.

What We Expect From You
To succeed in this role, you need a combination of education, experience, and personal qualities that match our goals.
Key Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in a field like psychology, social work, or counseling.
- At least 1 year of experience working in mental health or addiction care.
- Experience using motivational interviewing and being a good listener.
- A commitment to working with diverse groups of people and being inclusive.
- Strong skills in problem-solving and managing multiple tasks.
- Comfortable using technology and learning new computer programs.
- A desire to learn and improve your skills.
Bonus Qualifications:
- SUD licensure or certifications.
- Being bilingual (speaking more than one language).
