About the Role
As a Health Educator, you will design and deliver health education programs aimed at improving community knowledge and promoting healthy lifestyles. You’ll work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide accurate, culturally sensitive health information that empowers individuals to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and present educational workshops on topics like nutrition, wellness, and disease prevention
- Create health materials tailored to diverse populations and community needs
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient education initiatives
- Track outreach efforts and evaluate the impact of health programs
- Participate in community events and health fairs to promote wellness
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, or related field
- Previous experience in health education or community outreach preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of San Diego community health challenges and solutions
