About the Role
As a Licensed Mental Health Clinician, you will help individuals manage emotional and mental health challenges. You’ll offer therapy, build treatment plans, and work closely with other healthcare professionals. Your goal is to support clients in achieving emotional stability and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Assessments and Therapy
- Meet with clients individually and in groups
- Listen to client concerns and assess mental health needs
- Use effective therapeutic techniques to help clients manage stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges
Create and Manage Treatment Plans
- Develop personalized care plans based on client needs
- Monitor client progress and update treatment strategies as needed
- Ensure care plans align with best practices in clinical mental health
Collaborate with Care Teams
- Work alongside doctors, nurses, and caseworkers
- Attend team meetings to discuss care plans and progress
- Communicate effectively to coordinate services
Respond to Mental Health Crises
- Provide immediate support to clients in distress
- Develop safety and crisis prevention plans
- Stay calm and supportive in high-pressure situations
Maintain Client Records
- Keep accurate, confidential notes on client interactions
- Ensure compliance with state and agency regulations
- Report outcomes and recommendations clearly and professionally
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or PsyD in California
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health setting
- Strong knowledge of mental health therapy techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (especially Spanish)
- Experience working with diverse communities
- Training in crisis intervention and emergency response
Education Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field
- Valid California mental health clinician license
- Documented experience in behavioral health or counseling
