Job Summary
As a Physical Therapist, you will help people recover from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses that affect how they move. What You Will Do
Assess Patients
- Evaluate how well patients can move and identify pain or movement issues
- Determine the type of physical therapy each patient needs
Design Treatment Plans
- Create personalized therapy and exercise programs
- Use techniques like stretching, strengthening, and balance training
- Update the treatment plan as the patient progresses
Support Recovery
- Guide patients through exercises to improve strength and mobility
- Educate patients on how to continue therapy safely at home
- Track patient progress and adjust care as needed
Collaborate with Health Teams
- Work with doctors, nurses, and other therapists to ensure quality care
- Keep accurate notes and records of patient progress
- Help patients reach their recovery goals as part of a supportive team

Required Qualifications
To be successful as a Physical Therapist, you should have:
- A Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid California Physical Therapist license
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hospitals, clinics, or therapy centers
- Familiarity with different therapy methods, like aquatic or manual therapy
- Ability to speak more than one language, especially Spanish
- Experience working with patients recovering from surgery or injury
