Job Summary
As a Pharmacist, you will dispense medications, educate patients, and collaborate with healthcare providers. Responsibilities
Dispensing and Safety
- Fill prescriptions accurately based on physician instructions
- Verify proper dosages, drug interactions, and allergies
- Follow all state and federal pharmacy regulations
Patient Care and Education
- Explain how and when to take medications
- Inform patients about possible side effects
- Provide answers to patient questions and offer treatment guidance
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and care coordinators
- Offer recommendations to improve patient treatment outcomes
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care
Medication Management
- Review prescriptions for clinical accuracy and safety
- Monitor patient progress and support medication adjustments
- Document and report adverse drug reactions
Recordkeeping and Inventory
- Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy logs
- Use pharmacy software to track prescriptions and inventory
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
Community Engagement
- Support public health outreach programs
- Promote medication safety awareness in the community
- Participate in emergency response efforts as needed

Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited institution
- Valid California Pharmacist License

Preferred
- Experience in a community health or clinical pharmacy setting
- Familiarity with pharmacy systems and electronic health records
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus
- Knowledge of public health education or outreach
Education and Experience
- Education: Pharm.D. required
- License: Active California Pharmacist License
- Experience: Clinical, hospital, or retail pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates welcome
