Job Summary
As the Mobile Health Portfolio Manager, you will make sure that our mobile health teams and vans are helping as many people as possible. You will plan where we go, who we help, and what health services we provide. Your work will help make sure everyone has access to the healthcare they need, especially those in places where clinics or hospitals are hard to reach.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will have some important tasks. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Run Daily Operations
- Manage Our Mobile Units: Make sure the health vans are ready and set up with doctors, nurses, and supplies.
- Plan Routes: Decide where the vans go each day to reach as many people as possible.
Help Improve Our Program
- Develop New Ideas: Think of new ways to improve our services and bring healthcare to more places.
- Analyze Data: Look at health information and other data to understand where people need help the most.
Work with Community Leaders
- Build Partnerships: Connect with local organizations, schools, and groups who can support our health services.
- Attend Events: Represent our team at local events to tell people about the services we offer.
Lead Your Team
- Supervise Staff: Help the doctors, nurses, and volunteers on your team so they can give great care to patients.
- Manage Resources: Make sure each mobile health unit has everything they need, from medical tools to staff support.

Required Skills
- Clear Communication: You should be able to explain things simply and listen to others.
- Leadership: You’ll lead a team, so it’s important to encourage and support them.
- Organized: This role needs you to keep track of schedules, resources, and details.
- Problem-Solving: Be ready to solve problems when things don’t go as planned.
- Data Management: You’ll use data to make decisions and find ways to improve our program.
Preferred Skills
- Community Awareness: It’s helpful to know about different cultures and community needs.
- Experience in Public Health: If you know about public health, it’s a big plus.
- Bilingual Abilities: Speaking Spanish or other languages can be helpful.
- Mobile Health Knowledge: Experience working with mobile health programs is an advantage.
- Tech and Data Skills: Knowing how to work with data software helps to keep track of our services.
Education and Experience
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a similar area is required. A master’s degree is even better.
- Experience: We want someone with 3-5 years of experience in health program management. If you’ve worked in mobile health or community programs before, that’s a bonus.
Location
This position is based in Harris County, Houston, Texas. You’ll get to work directly with the community, helping people access the healthcare they need.
