Job Summary
As a mobile dentist, you will travel to different locations in Harris County to provide dental care to people in your community. You will help with check-ups, cleanings, and treatments to keep their teeth healthy. Your job is to ensure that everyone gets the dental care they need, no matter where they are. You will work with patients of all ages, and you will be making a positive impact on their lives.
Responsibilities
Here’s what you will do as a mobile dentist:
- Check Teeth: You will look at patients’ teeth to see if they are healthy or if they need any treatment.
- Provide Treatments: You will help fix teeth by doing cleanings, fillings, and other important dental work.
- Teach Patients: You will show patients and their families how to take care of their teeth. You will teach them about brushing, flossing, and why regular dental visits are important.
- Work with a Team: You will work with dental assistants and other health workers to make sure everything runs smoothly.
- Keep Records: You will write down what you do for each patient, so we know how to help them best.
- Join Community Events: You may also help at events in the community to teach people about dental health and offer free check-ups.
Qualifications
To be our mobile dentist, you should have these qualifications:
Required Skills
- Dental Skills: You need to know how to do different dental treatments, like cleanings and fillings.
- Good Communication: You should be able to talk and listen well to patients and their families.
- Caring Attitude: You must genuinely want to help people and make sure they feel comfortable during their visits.
- Flexibility: You should be willing to travel to different places in Harris County to provide care.
Preferred Skills
- Language Skills: If you can speak more than one language, that would be a great help in talking to more patients.
- Experience in Community Health: If you have worked in health settings that help many people, it’s a plus!
Education and Experience
- Education: You need to have a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from a dental school.
- License: You must have a valid dental license to practice in Texas. Also, make sure you have CPR certification.
- Experience: If you have worked in a dental office before, that’s great, but it’s not required.
Location
This job is based in Harris County, Houston, Texas. As a mobile dentist, you will travel to different sites in the county. You will get to see different neighborhoods and meet many wonderful people. Houston is a great place with lots of cultures and friendly faces!
