Job Summary
As a Community Health Worker – Immunization, your job is to educate families about vaccines. You will help people understand why vaccines are important and assist them in getting vaccinated. You will work closely with other health workers and community groups to make sure everyone knows about immunizations and how to get them. This job is very important because it helps protect our community from diseases.
Responsibilities
In your role as a Community Health Worker – Immunization, you will have several important tasks:
- Talk to Families: You will meet with families in the community to explain the importance of vaccines and answer any questions they may have.
- Help at Clinics: You will assist with immunization clinics by helping set up, checking people in, and making sure everything runs smoothly.
- Provide Support: You will help families find other health services they may need, like check-ups or screenings.
- Keep Records: You will need to write down information about the vaccines given to keep track of who has received their shots.
- Work with Others: You will collaborate with local health departments, schools, and community groups to promote vaccine programs.
