Job Summary
As an Analyst in Revenue Cycle Epic Business, you will help us look at money data and make sure we’re doing things the right way to get paid. You’ll work with software called Epic, which helps healthcare systems handle payments. Your job will include checking how we get paid, finding ways to make it better, and making sure we follow all the rules. This helps us serve the community and give everyone the healthcare they need.
Key Responsibilities
In this job, you’ll have important tasks to do every day. Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:
Analyzing Data and Reports
- Look at payment data to see how well we’re doing.
- Create reports that show how much money we’re making or losing.
- Check if all the numbers add up and fix any mistakes you find.
Improving the Payment Process
- Use the Epic system to make our payment process smoother and faster.
- Find new ways to improve our billing and payment methods.
- Keep an eye on claims (bills sent to insurance) and track payments we receive or don’t get.
Working with Teams
- Work with different departments, like billing and clinical teams, to improve how we do things.
- Train team members to use the Epic system better.
- Help team members fix any issues they have with the system.
Keeping Records and Following Rules
- Keep good records of all our payment activities and Epic system changes.
- Make sure we follow all the healthcare rules to stay compliant.
- Watch out for any changes in industry rules and update our practices.
Required Qualifications
To do this job well, there are certain skills and qualifications you should have.
Required Skills
- Good at looking at numbers and small details.
- Able to analyze data and create simple reports.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Understand basic healthcare billing and payments.
- Willing to learn the Epic system (training will be given).
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of healthcare rules, like HIPAA, to keep information safe.
- Experience with Epic software or similar systems.
- Able to work well with others and communicate clearly.
- Good at managing time and handling multiple tasks.
Education and Experience
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Information, Finance, or something similar.
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in healthcare billing, payments, or a related field.
- Experience with Epic software is a plus but not required (we’ll train you).
Location
This job is based in Harris County, Houston, Texas. You’ll need to work onsite, but there may be some chances to work from home on certain projects.
