Job Summary
As a Mobile Dental Hygienist, your main job is to provide dental hygiene services in different places. You will travel around Harris County to meet patients and help them understand how to care for their teeth. You will clean teeth, check for problems, and show people how to keep their mouths healthy. Your work will help many people have healthier smiles!
Responsibilities
Here are some of the things you will do as a Mobile Dental Hygienist:
- Check Teeth: You will look at patients’ teeth and gums to see how healthy they are.
- Clean Teeth: You will use special tools to clean teeth and remove plaque, which is a sticky film that can cause cavities.
- Fluoride Treatments: You will apply fluoride, a special gel, to help strengthen teeth and protect them from cavities.
- Teach Patients: You will show patients how to brush and floss their teeth properly. You will explain why it’s important to take care of their mouths.
- Keep Records: You will write down what you find during check-ups and the treatments you give. This helps us keep track of patients’ dental health.
- Work with a Team: You will work with other healthcare professionals to make sure patients get the best care.
- Travel to Different Locations: You will drive to schools, community centers, and other places to provide dental services to people who need them.
Qualifications
To become a Mobile Dental Hygienist, you need to have the following:
