Job Summary
As a Specialist Psychiatrist, you will diagnose and treat mental health conditions. You will work directly with patients to develop treatment plans, offer therapy, prescribe medication, and guide them through their recovery. You’ll also collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure every person receives complete, personalized care.
Responsibilities
Key Duties
- Patient Assessment: Meet with patients to understand their emotional and mental health needs
- Treatment Planning: Create customized mental health care plans based on each patient’s needs
- Therapy Sessions: Provide individual, group, or family therapy when needed
- Medication Management: Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications for patients

Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
- Completion of a psychiatry residency program
- Valid and current California medical license
- Minimum of two years’ experience in mental health care
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and empathy skills
Preferred
- Experience in crisis intervention and emergency psychiatry
