Job Summary
As the Intake Team Lead, your main job is to manage the intake process for health services. This means you will help your team make sure that everyone who comes to us gets the help they need. You will also keep track of important information and work closely with other teams. You will be the first person clients talk to, so it’s important that you are friendly and helpful.
Responsibilities
Here are some of the things you will do in this job:
Lead the Team
- Supervise and support a team of intake specialists.
- Teach them how to do their jobs well and help them when they have questions.
Help Clients
- Greet clients with a smile and help them feel welcome.
- Explain the services we offer and guide them through the intake process.
Keep Records
- Make sure all client information is recorded accurately.
- Update records when clients return for help.
Work Together
- Collaborate with other departments to help clients get the best services.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth referrals.
Ensure Quality
- Check that the intake process is being done correctly and follow all rules.
- Find ways to improve how we help clients.
Report Findings
- Create reports about how the team is doing and how many clients we serve.
- Use this information to help the team improve and succeed.
Community Outreach
- Join community events to tell people about our services.
- Work with local organizations to spread the word about what we do.
Qualifications
To be a good fit for this job, you should have the following skills:
Required Skills
- Good Communication: You need to speak and write clearly so everyone understands you.
- Leadership: You should be able to motivate and guide your team.
- Problem-Solving: You must be able to figure out solutions when challenges arise.
- Organizational Skills: You should be able to keep track of many tasks and details at once.
Preferred Skills
- Health Services Knowledge: It helps if you know about public health or have worked in healthcare before.
- Technology Skills: You should be comfortable using computers and software to manage data.
- Cultural Understanding: It’s important to be able to work with people from different backgrounds.
Education and Experience
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, or a similar field is required. If you have a higher degree, that’s even better!
- Experience: You should have at least three years of experience in healthcare or social services. It’s great if you have supervised others for at least one year.
