As a Health Program Representative I, your job will be to make the first contact with people who are part of healthcare programs. You will talk to members over the phone, explain the program, and answer their questions. Your job will also include recording information about members and encouraging them to join or stay in the program.

Additional Information:
- Elevance Health has a Hybrid Workforce. This means that, in addition to working from home, you may need to work at an Elevance Health location at least once a week. You must live within 50 miles or be able to drive 1 hour to a company office.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
As a Health Program Representative I, your job will include these tasks:
- Making calls to talk to eligible members about healthcare programs.
- Recording information from phone calls according to company rules.
- Encouraging members to join or stay in healthcare programs by explaining the benefits and services.
- Following call scripts when needed to make sure the right information is given.
- Answering questions from members and directing them to the right staff when needed.
- Managing referrals from doctors and other health workers for members in the program.
- Getting information from hospitals, doctors, and other sources as needed.
- Contacting doctor offices to get important information about members.
Requirements
To apply for this position, you must meet these requirements:
- High school diploma or a GED (General Education Diploma).
- At least 6 months of experience in customer service or sales, or any experience that would help you do the job.
- Computer skills and the ability to type accurately.
- Ability to follow company rules and protocols.
- Knowledge of healthcare programs is a plus but not required.
