Community Health Worker – Preparedness & Response Full Time

Job Summary

In this job, you will help your community be prepared for health emergencies and respond when they happen. You will share important information about health and wellness. Your main job is to connect with people and make sure they know how to stay healthy. You will be a friendly face in the community, helping others get the services they need.

Responsibilities

As a Community Health Worker, you will have several important tasks:

Community Outreach

You will go out and meet people in the community. You will talk to them about health topics and let them know about health services they can use.

Education and Training

You will organize fun and informative events to teach people about health. This could include topics like eating healthy, staying active, and preventing diseases. Your goal is to help everyone learn how to take care of their health.

Emergency Preparedness

Sometimes, emergencies happen, and you will help the community get ready for them. You might teach people how to prepare for things like storms or health outbreaks. You will also help during real emergencies by providing information and support.

Resource Coordination

You will help people find health services they need, like doctors or clinics. You will make sure everyone knows where to go for help.

Data Collection

You will keep track of information about community health needs. This helps us understand what the community needs to stay healthy.

Collaboration

You will work with local health departments and other organizations. Together, you will create programs that help the community stay healthy.

Required Skills

Preferred Skills

Education and Experience
