Job Summary

The Senior Services Coordinator is an important role where you will help older adults and people with disabilities get the care they need. This job involves talking to clients, their families, and community groups to organize services and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Services Coordinator, you will:

• Help clients: Talk to clients to understand their needs, create plans to help them, and make sure they get the services they need.
• Work with other people: You will work with doctors, healthcare providers, and community groups to make sure your clients get the best help.
• Advocate for your clients: Speak up for your clients to make sure they are getting the right care and services.
• Teach clients and families: Explain what services are available, how to get them, and help families understand their options.
• Keep records: Write down important information about your clients and the help they get, so everything is organized.
• Handle emergencies: If there is an emergency, you will step in and help the client get the care they need quickly.
• Work with a team: You will work with other helpers, like social workers and healthcare providers, to make sure your clients are well taken care of.

Education and Experience

• Education: You need to have at least a high school diploma or GED. If you have a college degree in something like social work, healthcare, or public health, that’s a plus.
• Experience: You should have at least two years of experience working in social services, healthcare, or helping people in some way. It’s especially helpful if you have experience working with older adults or people with disabilities.
