Job Summary

Responsibilities
In this job, you will have several important tasks:
- Collect and Analyze Data: You will gather information about health from places like hospitals and health surveys. Then, you will look at this data to find patterns and trends.
- Research Diseases: You will conduct research to understand why and how diseases spread. You will work with other health experts to design studies that help answer important questions.
- Write Reports: You will prepare reports that explain your findings. You will share this information with health officials and the community so they can make good decisions about health.
- Help Create Health Programs: You will work with the Health & Human Services Agency to create programs that help prevent diseases and promote healthy habits in the community.
- Investigate Outbreaks: If there is an outbreak of a disease, you will help find out what is happening. You will work with local health departments to control the situation.
- Teach Others: You will create educational materials and teach people about health issues. This helps the community understand how to stay healthy.
- Make Recommendations: You will use the information you gather to suggest ways to improve public health. Your ideas will help leaders make better health policies.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you should have the following skills:

- Good at Analyzing Information: You should be able to look at numbers and data and understand what they mean.

Education and Experience
To apply for the Epidemiologist job, you should have:
- Education: A master’s degree in public health or a similar field is required. If you have a doctorate, that’s even better!
