Job Summary
As the Youth Outreach Program Director, you will lead programs that help young people in our community. Your job will be to create fun and helpful activities that teach important skills and provide support. You will work with schools, community groups, and other organizations to understand what young people need and how to help them.
In this position, you will guide a team of friendly and helpful people who are also focused on supporting youth. This job requires a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others. If you enjoy being a leader and helping kids, we want you!
Responsibilities
As the Youth Outreach Program Director, your daily tasks will include:
- Creating Programs: You will design and start new outreach programs that help young people grow and learn.
- Building Relationships: It’s important to make friends with schools, community groups, and local businesses to support our youth programs.
- Leading a Team: You will manage a team of outreach workers and volunteers. You will help them learn and do their jobs well.
- Checking Progress: You will look at how well our programs are working and think of ways to make them even better.
- Connecting with Youth: You will meet with young people in the community to share information about our programs and hear their ideas and concerns.
- Reporting: You will prepare reports to show how our programs are doing and what we need to keep improving.
- Managing Budgets: You will keep track of the money used for the programs to make sure we spend it wisely.
Qualifications
To be a great Youth Outreach Program Director, you should have these important skills:
Required Skills
- Leadership: You should be able to inspire and guide your team to reach our goals.
- Communication: Good speaking and writing skills are important for talking with young people and community members.
- Organization: You should be able to keep track of many tasks and meet deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: You need to think of good solutions when challenges come up.
- Cultural Awareness: Understanding and respecting different cultures and backgrounds is very important.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Youth: It’s helpful if you have worked with youth programs or community outreach before.
- Grant Writing: Knowing how to write proposals for funding can help support our programs.
- Data Skills: Being able to look at information and use it to improve our programs is a plus.

Education and Experience
