Job Summary
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Public Health Services, you will provide important care to refugees. You will help with medical check-ups, give medications, and support patients in getting better. Responsibilities
In your new job, you will have several important tasks. Here’s what you will do:
- Take Care of Patients: You will help patients by checking their vital signs (like heart rate and temperature) and giving them medications. You will also perform basic medical tasks under the guidance of doctors and registered nurses.
- Educate Patients: You will teach patients and their families about their health problems, treatments, and medications. It is important for them to understand how to take care of themselves.
- Keep Records: You will write down important information about the patients. This includes their medical history and how they are doing during their treatment.
- Work as a Team: You will work with other healthcare workers, like doctors and social workers, to create care plans for each patient. Teamwork is essential to help patients heal.
- Support the Community: You may participate in community events to help refugees learn about the healthcare services available to them.
