Job Summary
The Director of Child and Family Well-Being will lead programs that focus on the health, education, and development of children and families in San Diego County. You will manage teams, collaborate with local partners, and oversee services that provide early intervention, family support, and child development resources. Your leadership will ensure that families in the community receive timely, high-quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Family Support Programs
- Oversee and improve programs that help children grow and families stay strong
- Ensure services reach those who need them most
- Monitor outcomes and make changes to improve program success
Build Community Partnerships
- Work closely with schools, healthcare providers, and nonprofits
- Raise awareness about available services for families and children
- Develop new strategies to reach underserved communities
Manage and Support Staff
- Lead a dedicated team of counselors, social workers, and healthcare professionals
- Provide training, mentorship, and guidance
- Promote a supportive and effective workplace
Oversee Budget and Reporting
- Manage program budgets to maximize impact
- Track and report program progress and outcomes
- Use data to guide decisions and demonstrate success

Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Child Development, Public Health, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in child and family services
- Experience managing a team or leading programs
- Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in public health or community outreach
- Experience with early childhood development or youth programs
- Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred)
- Familiarity with government or nonprofit service delivery

Salary and Benefits
The Director of Child and Family Well-Being position offers a competitive salary between \$90,000 and \$120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
