Job Summary
As a Cultural Competency Trainer, your main job will be to teach others about cultural awareness. You will create fun and helpful training programs that help our staff understand and respect different cultures. Your work will make a big difference in how our organization connects with the community. You will help everyone feel valued and understood, which is very important for building strong relationships.
Responsibilities
In this job, you will have several important tasks:
- Create Fun Training Programs: You will design engaging training sessions that help staff learn about different cultures. These programs will be exciting and interesting for everyone.
- Lead Workshops: You will lead workshops where staff can share their thoughts and learn from each other about cultural differences.
- Check How Well Training Works: After each training session, you will ask for feedback to see what worked well and what can be improved. This will help make future training even better!
- Stay Updated on Culture Trends: You will keep learning about different cultures and current events so that your training is always relevant and helpful.
- Work with Other Teams: You will team up with different departments to make sure that cultural awareness is important in everything we do.
- Engage with the Community: You will help organize events that bring different cultural groups together and encourage understanding and cooperation.
Qualifications

Required Skills
- Good Communication Skills: You need to be able to share information clearly with everyone, no matter their background.
- Understanding of Different Cultures: It is important to know about different cultures and how to respect them.
- Teaching Skills: You should be able to teach groups in a way that makes learning fun and engaging.
- Empathy and Patience: Being able to understand how others feel is very important. You should be kind and patient when helping others learn.
Preferred Skills
- Speaking More Than One Language: If you can speak other languages, that is a great bonus! It helps communicate with more people.
- Experience in Law Enforcement: If you have worked with law enforcement before, it can be helpful for this job.
- Understanding How Adults Learn: Knowing how adults learn can make your training sessions even better.

Education and Experience

Salary and Benefits
